The mission of the Parkinson's Disease Family Service Organization is to identify challenges to quality of life for families with Parkinson's Disease and to develop responses through charitable, educational, and scientific activities. The Parkinson's Disease Family Service Organization recognizes that an eye turned perpetually to a future disease cure misses the importance of living as fully as possible in the present. This community-based paradigm is not intended to compete with nor replace direct medical treatment of Parkinson's Disease but rather to address aspects of the disease not amenable to medical therapies.
